This prophecy of Isaiah (see also Isaiah 5) in the Book of Mormon:
2 Nephi 15:23 Who justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore, as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, *their root shall be rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up as dust*; because *they have cast away the law of the Lord of Hosts*, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore, is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and *hath smitten them*; and *the hills did tremble*, and *their carcasses* were torn in the midst of the streets. *For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still*.

happens here:
(Helaman 7:4 And seeing the people in a state of such awful wickedness, and those Gadianton robbers filling the judgment-seats—having usurped the power and authority of the land; *laying aside the commandments of God, and not in the least aright before him*; doing no justice unto the children of men;)
5 *Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money;*

Helaman 10:6 …ye (Nephi) shall have power over this people, and shall *smite the earth* with famine, and with pestilence, and destruction…
9 And if ye shall say unto *this mountain, Be thou cast down and become smooth, it shall be done*.
10 And behold, if ye shall say that *God shall smite this people*, it shall come to pass.
11 And now behold, I command you, that ye shall go and declare unto this people, that thus saith the Lord God, who is the Almighty: Except ye repent *ye shall be smitten, even unto destruction*.
18 And it came to pass that they would not hearken unto his words; and there began to be contentions, insomuch that they were divided against themselves and began to *slay one another* with the sword.

Helaman 11:6 And this work of destruction did also continue in the seventy and fifth year. For *the earth was smitten* that it was dry, and did not yield forth grain in the season of grain; and *the whole earth was smitten*, even among the Lamanites as well as among the Nephites, so that *they were smitten* that *they did perish by thousands* in the more wicked parts of the land.
7 And it came to pass that the people saw that they were about to perish by famine, and they began to remember the Lord their God…
10 O Lord, behold this people repenteth; and they have swept away the band of Gadianton from amongst them insomuch that they have become extinct…
